I am a former MLB relief pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets, and San Diego Padres. With over 4 years of big league experience, I ended with a 3.47 era in 264 games with 9 saves.
Originally from Huntington Beach, California I graduated from Edison high school in 1999 and went to Santa Ana JC and then to Chico State. From there I signed with the San Diego Padres out of a try out camp that started my professional career at 21 years old lasting until I was 35. Within those years I accumulated 500 games with a 2.56 era and 173 career saves in the minors. You can see more about me at Baseball-reference.com here,
My approach to teaching children the techniques to develop an individual pitching motion are
• arm maintenance (icing, stretching, bands)
• proper way to play catch
• appropriate skills for age
• strengthening arm
• individual goals
